PostSubject: Battle One: Ellen vs. Hisana   Tue May 22, 2012 2:53 pm

"Now for the first battle in the tornament is... Ellen vs Hisana! This will be a three on three match; the victer shall continue on when all Pokemon are unable to battle." the Refferee said While Hisana aproched the battle areina. I have to play this smart, Ellen has a dark type, Psychic type, and an Electric/flying type. Hisana thought. "So looks like you'll be first, let's go! Rukia!" Hisana called out her Seel. Tossing the Pokeball into the air it clicked open and released the small white seal Pokemon, "Seel! (I'm ready for battle!)" she cried out.

Ellen was positively brimming with excitement as she wandered onto the battle field. She had a little spring in her step that showed the audience of the tournament just how happy and carefree she was, but there was something about her that also showed her determination.
Ellen did a quick spin on one foot before throwing her Poke ball out onto the field. She had already decided which of her three Pokemon she was going to use first, it didn't matter who Hisana sent out.
"Dance in the light of the setting sun, Serena!"

A Kirlia appeared from the ball, taking a few graceful steps and performing a short twirl before she waited for her trainer's move. However, Ellen decided to let Hisana take the first move. It was a risky decision, but one she didn't mind all the same.

Hisana looked at the Kirlia trying to think of a good stratigy. "Rukia use Headbutt!" she called. The seal like Pokemon lowered her head and charged foward with great speed. Dispite being on land Rukia had trained hard to become as fast as she was with the help of Ichigo, and Senna.

Ellen giggled and did a small pirouette. Serena mirrored her movements before she disappeared in a small blue light. The Kirlia reappeared on the other side of Rukia.
"Confusion!" yelled Ellen, eager to take advantage of the opportunity.
"Kirrlliii!"
Serena, in another graceful movement, used her psychic powers to damage the Seel. The ice type was surrounded with yet another pale blue light as the Kirlia concentrated her power into the Confusion move.

Rukia stopped when the Kirlia disapeared for a moment as she looked around in confution. The Psychic Pokemon reappered beside her and she was hit by the move Confusion. Rukia was sent across the battle feild and had her eyes closed, "Rukia you ok?!" Hisana called out. "Se~el?" Rukia asked in confusion, Hisana's fear was confermed her Pokemon was now confused. With a small growl she made her next move, "Rukia use Icy Wind!" the Seel began to go on a mild rampage and hurt herself in the confusion.

With the Seel now confused, Ellen knew that there was no reason to try and hide her intentions with dance moves. She yelled, "Dodge the Icy Wind with Teleport!"
"Kirrli."

Serena gracefully danced across the stadium floor, easily dodging the frozen winds when they got too close by Teleporting out of their way. The Kirlia weaved her way in and out of the sparkling ice in a way that seemed almost like a contest appeal. The frozen particles seemed to do nothing but make her shine even more, despite the heat of the battle.

Even though she hurt herself this got Rukia out of her confused state. The seel shook her head and het out a loud cry, "Seeeeel!!!!" and charged for the Kirlia with headbutt.

Ellen was as confident as ever during battle, even when Rukia snapped out of confusion and turned to attack Serena. The Kirlia, continued her dancing across the battlefield, her graceful movements enabling her to dodge the headbutt once again. It was then that Ellen decided to try something reckless.

"Serena! Concentrate! Like we practiced remember! You can do it this time!"
The Kirlia knew exactly what her trainer meant, and closed her eyes. She stood in the traditionally known position of a Kirlia, her red horns beginning to glow with Psychic energy.

"Rukia Return!"Hisana said pulling out her Pokeball. "You did great, get some rest ok. Go Senna!" she called out her next Pokemon. The small mouse Pokemon shook her head and looked around, "Pichu?(Is this a battle?)" she ask as she saw the Kirlia. "Senna use Thundershock!" Hisana comanded.

The Pichu's eyes lit up with joy as she closed her eye shut and curled her tiny arm in, "Pi-chu!" she shouted releasing her electrcity towards her opponant.

Despite the fact that Rukia was no longer on the field, Ellen decided to carry on with the move. Serena could hear the commands being shouted, and could hear the crackling electricity heading towards her. But she did not move. She took her first hit of the battle, standing there on her tip toes. Not breaking concentration as a few shadowy looking things formed around her. There were many in number, and they were a dark green colour... but as of yet they had no substantial form.

Ellen winced as the Thundershock hit Serena. She too then closed her eyes, willing her friend to succeed.
"Come on Serena. You can do it. Like we practiced." she repeated under her breath.

In truth, the Kirlia hadn't managed to correctly manifest her psychic powers into the move before, but they had been so close last time they had tried. So close that Ellen was sure she would get it this time.

And she was right.

All of a sudden the shadowy substances began to take substantial forms. Leaves. The now lighter green leaves were surrounded with a multicoloured psychic energy. Serena's eyes flew open.
"Kiirliii!" she grinned, celebrating her success. The Kirlia then did a short spin, before she flung the leaves towards Senna.
Magical Leaf.

Senna's eyes grew wide as she saw the attack coming at her fast, "Pi-pichu!" she shouted in a panic and started to evade the Magical Leaf. "Senna stay calm, use Thunder Wave!" Hisana shouted trying to keep her Pokemon calm. The Pichu twirled around one of the psychic leaves and flexed her tiny body releasing a blue wave of electricity. The Thunder Wave crashed into the Magical Leaf causing them to shine even brighter then before. That's it Senna use the attack to get to your opponant. Hisana though. The Thunder Wave was now on it's way to hitting the Psychic Pokemon.

"Confusion!" countered Ellen.

Serena swiftly raised her pale thin arms into the air, her horns once again glowing with a blue light as she used her move. She regained control over the leaves, using her psychic energy to gently spiral them around her as she mirrored the Pichu's earlier twirl.

"Teleport!"

The Kirlia was gone in a blink, seconds before the Thunder wave connected. The leaves had all gone too. Serena then reappeared behind Senna, the leaves also reappearing and surrounding the Pichu from behind.

Got ya. Hisana thought. "Senna behind you and use Thunder Punch!" she shouted. Hisana had thought that Serrena would of used Teleport to get somewhere close to Senna now that she was at close range... "Piiichuu!!" Senna shouted as she made a tiny fist that was now surounded by electricity. With high speed Senna spun around and brought her fist closer to the Kirlia's stomach.

Serena thought quickly and used the leaves to block the brunt Senna's Thunderpunch. She still sustained some damage, but the leaves had protected her from most of the move.

"Shadow Sneak!"

Ellen had decided to use this now, despite it being daylight and so fairly easy to see. Serena's shadow began to extend. Using the cover of the remaining leaves to its advantage, the shadow rose up, attacking the Pichu whilst Serena herself moved a fair few meters away.

Senna struggled to get through the leaves but managed to nick Serena.Hisana saw a shadow like figure on the ground and didn't know whta to make of it. Senna was thinking the same thing, "Pichu?" she asked tilting her head raising her paw to it. The Shadow rushed at Senna as she let out a silent scream and closed her eyes as she was hit by the attack. "Pichu!" she screamed as she was flung back into a wall and fell to the ground. "Senna! You ok?!" Hisana asked the Pichu. Senna slowly got up and looked up with scared eyes, "Pichu." she whimpered. This isn't good. Senna's afraid of ghost type attacks. the pink haired girl thought.

Ellen realized that the move had his and shouted for Serena to try using it again. The Kirlia seemed to almost sense that this move brought an advantage to her side of the battle. She did a quick spin on the tips of her feet before the shadow acted again. It continued to stretch out towards Senna, its ghostly presence once again rising up to damage the baby Pokemon.

Serena waited to see the result of the repeated move. Ellen hoped she wouldn't have to scare the already terrified Pokemon any more, but she was intent on winning this battle. Not for her, but for her team.

Senna was too frightened to move and was hit by the attack once again by the attack which had lifted her high in the air. Hisana was scared for her Pokemon, she couldn't return her Pokemon while she was so high in the air. Sanna opened her eyes and saw how high she was the people in the stadeum looked like ants, "Pichu!!!" she screamed flapping her arms like a bird Pokemon as she started to fall. "Senna use Thunder wave to slow yourself down! Now aim for the ground!" Hisana shouted thinking quickly. Senna used her Thunder Wave at the ground, it slowed her down but not by much.

Now she was getting closer to the ground Hisana whipped out Senna's Pokeball and returned her. "Don't worry Senna, you did your best. Go Rukia!" she shouted Sending out her Seel once again. "Rukia use Water Pulse!" Hisana shouted. Rukia created a sphear of water and brought it to the ground causing a small tidle wave heading towards the Kirlia.

"Serena! Teleport!"
The Pichu was way too high. There was no way that was safe. The baby Pokemon had been just too small, the momentum had thrown her much higher than anyone would have predicted. Senna used Thunder Wave. It didn't do much to slow her down.

Serena nodded, immediately taking action. She Teleported high into the air, grabbing the Pichu in her pale arms before she was once again engulfed by the blue psychic energy and was gone.
The Kirlia reappeared, but not on her feet as she should have done. Carrying a passenger had disorientated her. Senna reappeared a few meters from the ground, just close enough for Hisana to return the Pichu to her Pokeball.

Ellen sighed in relief as the baby Pokemon was saved, but then turned to her own friend.
Serena was getting back up onto her feet after rolling across the ground. She was covered in dust from the battlefield, and had sustained a bit of damage, but apart from that she was none the worse from her ordeal.

"Kirliia."
The graceful Pokemon brushed herself down before looking to her trainer, a firey passion in her red eyes.

"Are you sure?" asked Ellen with a worried tone to her voice. She knew exactly what that look meant.
The Kirlia gave a short nod, just as Hisana sent Rukia out onto the field.

I hope you'll be alright... thought Ellen, removing her hand from her side, where Serena's Pokeball was. She had been planning to return her Pokemon to give her a rest after that fall but Serena wasn't having it.

"Alright then..." she said aloud, "Dodge using Magical Leaf!"

Serena immediately rushed into action. With the water on the ground, it was a simple task to dodge the move. The Kirlia summoned the leaves again, finding the job immediately easier after her first success. She made the leaves hover in the air with her Psychic energy and hopped up onto them. She seemed almost weightless as she moved gracefully from leaf to leaf, but in fact it was her own psychic energy that was keeping her up.
When Serena was directly above Rukia, she summoned all but the leaves she was standing on, and sent them flying directly towards the Seel.

"Counter with Icy Wind!" Hisana commanded pointing at the leaves. Rukia took a deep breath and let out a cold blast of air from her mouth. Hisana was greatful that Serena had saved Sanna but this was still a battle, and with Rukia and Senna getting exausted from Ellens first Pokemon this wasn't looking too good. Rukia had created a small blizzard the was enough to freeze the grass attack and was sending the froezn leave back to its owner.

"Confusion!"
Serena's horns once again glowed pale blue. Both the frozen Magical Leaf and the snow from the mini-blizzard were stopped by her attack. The Kirlia used her abilities to quickly dismantle both moves, turning them both into more dust to add to the battleground.

The Emotion Pokemon then moved on to Rukia. The Confusion move psychically damaging the Seel, almost mirroring the events earlier on in the battle.

Rukia took on the Confusion attack her eyes squinting with a firey passion not to give up. "Rukia use Growl, follow up with Water Pulse!" Hisana shouted not sure on how long Rukia may be ablr to handle the battle. Rukia did as she was told and used Growl sending out loud cries trying to lower the Kirlia's Attack and swiftly used Water Pulse aiming at Serena.

Serena took the Growl attack without complaint. It was only a growl after all.

"Dodge with Teleport!" yelled Ellen as Rukia used Water Pulse.

The Kirlia did just that. She Teleported, into that protective center of the pulse so that she dodged the attack.

"Magical Leaf!"

From her close range, the Kirlia summoned more leaves with psychic energy, and sent them towards Rukia, their razor sharp points aiming to damage the Seel.

Rukia was unable to dodge the attack and got hit in the face and slid back into the wall. "Rukia!" Hisana shouted, Rukia was unable to battle. "Rukia Return! You did great now it's time for you to rest."

Now it was time to end this. Hisana thought taking out a Luxury Ball. "Let's go! Ichigo!" She called out her most trusted Pokemon. "Mah!!!" he growled at the Kirlia.

Ellen couldn't help but grin when Rukia was knocked out and Hisana sent out her third and final Pokemon. Of course, she still had Senna, but the little Pichu didn't have much fight left in her. She had sustained a lot of damage earlier in the battle and to be honest, Ellen didn't think she would be much of a challenge to defeat next time she was sent onto the field.

Ellen looked over to Serena once more.
"Kirlia. Kirlii." came the reply. Once again, Serena was intent on sticking it out until the end. Despite the damage she had taken from her last two opponents, she wanted to continue battling so that Ellen would have the biggest advantage she could get if she fainted.

Ellen half wanted to just return Serena. The Kirlia deserved a nice long rest, but she knew that as much as she wanted to, she wouldn't. Ellen's hand wandered towards Serena's Pokeball once again before she shook her head, her friend's red gaze piercing her very existence.
"Alright..." she finally gave in. But if things got any worse, she wouldn't even ask next time.

"Magical Leaf!"
Serena, though she had already sustained a fair bit of damage, went straight in there, gracefully dancing as she focused her psychic energy once more. The leaves seemed to be controlled by her movements, flowing through the air until with one last swift dancing move, Serena 'threw' them towards the Riolu.

Serena's taken alot of damage from battling Senna and Rukia. Ichigo.... I beleive in you. Hisana thought as the Magical Leaf was coming closer to him. As if hearing her thoughts Ichigo closed his red eyes and focased with his entier being, "Use Counter!" Hisana said knowing that her Pokemon would get hurt but the attack would be doubled if Counter was succesful. Crossing his arms infront of him Ichigo took the attack head on, at the last second a light blue barrier(Counter) started to surround the emotional Pokemon. Feeling it's power growing Ichigo sent the attack right back at Serena, "Quick Attack." Hisana whispered loud enough for her Pokemon to hear her. The Riolou glanced back at her and nodded with great speed he disappered in the leaves.
