You awaken with 4(or so) people in a room, and you all have amnesia. You all wear the same clothes; a T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. You each has a small box on their person, containing a seemingly random item. The room is empty, and only one small, dim light bulb illuminates the room, and directly under it is an unlocked trapdoor. It seems to be the only way you can go. But what will you find there?
Basically, this is a puzzle RP in which about 5 people have to find out about their pasts and escape. The players don't create their characters, but are given characters; this is done to place emphasis on the amnesia each character faces. As players navigate through rooms, they learn more about their characters, and the seeds of distrust begin to sprout.
One key mechanic of this is "flashbacks"; it is possible for a player to receive a flashback via PM, and with it they may learn more about their own, and other, characters. Whether or not they share this information is up to the player, though. Another mechanic planned for this RP is "Orders". In order to help blow the sparks of discord, players are occasionally sent "orders" along with their flashback, which are suggestions that are usually based on a character's past. Say, for example, that Alice attacked Bob once, and Bob got a flashback. Bob may get the order to get revenge on Alice. Only 1 order may be disobeyed and 2 may be prolonged (to be explained later) per person in the RP, so it is best to choose wisely. Otherwise, orders must be attempted within the player's next 5 posts.
So, anyone interested? Is it too complex? Are there any large flaws? Just letting you know, this idea is still a WIP.
